1-800-Children Helpline

Because the 1-800-CHILDREN Helpline is anonymous and confidential, it is often the first point of contact for individuals in need and callers unsure of where to turn for help. Callers are able to talk to a trained individual who cares about their well-being and genuinely wants to help them.

Helpline Is:
• Toll Free
• Anonymous
• Confidential
• Operating hours M-F, 8am - 8pm
• Professionally staffed
• A safe place to discuss options
• Bi-lingual (Spanish/English)
• A source of information and support

Helpline Is Not:
• A HOTLINE or crisis line
• Connected to DFCS
• Where child abuse reports are taken
